Description

You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems for the banking and payments domain.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative software solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting using strong engineering practices.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others to ensure quality standards.
• Partner with QA to develop and review test scenarios, ensuring robust coverage for critical banking workflows.
• Drive delivery of key milestones aligned to a clear roadmap, managing cross-team dependencies with technology leads and product owners.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs, leveraging Agile methodologies and SDLC tooling.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in Core Java and object-oriented design.
• Strong proficiency with Spring framework, RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka for streaming and messaging systems in high-availability environments.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC tooling including Jira, Jenkins, Git, JUnit, and Selenium.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and deliver under pressure in a collaborative team environment.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices (Spring Boot).
• Practical experience with Big Data stores (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, HBase) and streaming frameworks (Storm, Spark).
• Reactive programming experience (Spring Flux) and domain expertise in banking and payments.
