Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for an advertising and retail media platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices handling high-volume, low-latency traffic.
• Collaborate with frontend, ML, product, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and architecture diagrams.
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and overall engineering practices.
• Implement security, performance monitoring, and observability strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience with proficiency in Java 8+.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring Web MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security).
• Proven experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and distributed microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• Experience with caching (e.g., Redis) and asynchronous messaging systems.
• Understanding of API security best practices, including OWASP guidelines.

Preferred Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Agile/Scrum experience with multiple stakeholders.
