Description

You will build and maintain scalable, reliable backend services integrating with external systems and Kafka.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement retry, timeout, and circuit breaker patterns for external system interactions.
• Design processing logic to safely handle duplicate or repeated messages and responses.
• Monitor external API and Kafka response times, error rates, and availability.
• Validate all incoming data from external sources against expected payloads.
• Ensure external interactions are authenticated, authorized, and handle sensitive data securely.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka messaging systems.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience implementing failure handling patterns (retry, circuit breaker).
• Ability to handle dependency unavailability gracefully.
• Knowledge of data validation and security protocols (encryption, authorization).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-throughput distributed systems.
