Description

Build integration frameworks for external system interfacing using REST APIs and Kafka.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement a centralized Validation Framework to enforce business rules and data integrity across incoming requests.
• Design and build scalable frameworks that handle external system failures gracefully.
• Implement retry, timeout, and circuit breaker patterns for external API calls.
• Develop logic to safely handle duplicate or repeated messages and responses from external sources.
• Monitor external API and Kafka response times, error rates, and availability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in REST API design and implementation.
• Strong experience with Kafka messaging systems.
• Experience securing external interactions, including authentication and data encryption.
• Ability to handle external API version changes and deprecation.
• Experience validating and sanitizing data from external payloads.
• Familiarity with building fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java backend development.
• Background in integration architecture.
