Java Backend Engineer

You will build and maintain scalable backend solutions for modern banking and payment platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance payment platform capabilities while ensuring adherence to architectural and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical roadblocks across code, builds, and deployments.
• Review peer code, lead design discussions, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and scrum masters to deliver high-risk deliverables.
• Maintain the stability, scalability, and security of backend systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservices.
• Expertise in Kafka, JMS, and RESTful or SOAP services.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• 2+ years of experience or knowledge in Payment Systems (ACH, SWIFT, or Wire).
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Prior experience in the Banking or Payments domain.
