Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 8+ and microservices architecture.
• Build and optimize scalable RESTful APIs with a focus on performance and security.
• Implement application observability using Splunk for logging, alerts, and analysis.
• Monitor application health, track performance metrics, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and conduct technical code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Java (8 or above).
• Expertise in Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Solid understanding of microservices, multi-threading, and design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with Splunk, including SPL queries, dashboards, and alerts.
• Deep knowledge of logging frameworks such as Log4j2, SLF4J, and Logback.
• Experience optimizing log ingestion pipelines and ensuring structured logging.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with distributed systems design.
