Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services across the full software development lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java applications, defining system features and setting development priorities.
• Analyze user requirements to determine system objectives and functionality.
• Conduct testing and troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments.
• Create technical documentation and support tools for users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java experience with proficiency in Java 21 APIs.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Expertise in REST and SOAP API deployments.
• Experience deploying on OpenSystems Windows and/or Linux.
• Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies including JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Experience with web frameworks such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.

Preferred Skills

• Banking or Financial Services background.
• Experience managing vendor systems and platforms.
• Experience with deployment pipelines and OpenShift.
