Description

Build and deploy big data capabilities in an agile environment. Own the release pipeline and monitor applications on big data nodes.

Responsibilities

• Build big data capabilities using Apache Spark, Hive, and MapReduce.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and Microservices.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions.
• Deploy and monitor applications running on big data nodes.
• Apply professional software engineering practices including code reviews, testing, and source control management.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Proficiency with Apache Spark (DataFrames and Datasets), Hive (HQL), and HDFS.
• Experience with MapReduce and MySQL.
• Strong background in Microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, HTTP Proxies, web servers, and API Gateways like Apigee.
• Experience with CI/CD processes using Jenkins, SBT, XLR, and Maven.
• Knowledge of design patterns and Spring Boot.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, HBase, NoSQL, or messaging and caching products.
