Description

You will design, build, and optimize big data pipelines and distributed systems while delivering scalable backend services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize big data pipelines using Apache Spark for batch and streaming workloads.
• Develop secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Model data, manage storage, and optimize queries in Cassandra and other NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the data pipeline and application stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform architecture and best practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
• Strong programming proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot for backend development.
• Practical knowledge of Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of big data ecosystems (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive).
• Ability to independently implement features, write tests, and manage deployments.
• Strong debugging skills in distributed systems.
• Understanding of applied statistics, including testing, distributions, and regression analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Contributions to platform architecture decisions.
