Description

Design, implement, and support highly scalable applications and web services within a distributed systems environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable and resilient cloud services using SaaS and distributed systems patterns.
• Design and support web services in Python, Java, or Go environments.
• Manage the implementation of scalable applications across public cloud platforms.
• Mentor and technically lead small teams to meet technical objectives.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven record of programming in Python, Java, or Go with contributions to released software.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong experience with SQL or NoSQL databases including Postgres, Cassandra, and Redis.
• Proficiency with messaging and streaming tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and cloud computing paradigms.
• Experience architecting applications for AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or similar, and protocols like WebSockets or gRPC.
• Background in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
