Description

You will own the modernization and migration of Java/J2EE applications to AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the refinement and improvement of enterprise cloud migration architecture.
• Design migration plans, determining replatforming or refactoring strategies.
• Architect and develop reference architectures for Legacy JAVA / J2EE teams.
• Modify Java code to integrate with AWS services, potentially breaking monoliths into microservices.
• Define disaster recovery mechanisms and manage infrastructure provisioning using IaC.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Solid migration experience from on-premises servers to AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and JSF.
• Expertise in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture and cloud computing concepts.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices for CI/CD implementation.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed, cloud-based environments.
