Description

You will architect and develop enterprise cloud migration solutions, focusing on modernizing legacy Java systems for AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Refine architecture for cloud migration projects, choosing between replatforming and refactoring strategies.
• Design reference architectures for migrating legacy Java/J2EE applications to the cloud.
• Modernize existing codebases by breaking down monoliths into microservices integrated with AWS services.
• Implement containerization and automation using Docker and IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Define disaster recovery mechanisms and manage architecture governance with the Architectural Review Board.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience migrating applications to AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, and JSF.
• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Solid experience migrating applications from on-premises servers to AWS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for continuous integration and deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills in distributed, cloud-based environments.
