Description

You will design and build RESTful web service APIs in Java that support member-facing applications and partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful web service APIs in Java.
• Build clean, documented, testable code using TDD, JUnit, Postman, and Swagger.
• Build performant services and diagnose system-level performance issues.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Address team impediments to meet sprint deliverables.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years with REST Web Services.
• Deep knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Familiarity with web frameworks like Spring MVC or Spring Boot.
• Strong experience designing database tables and writing SQL queries in an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle).
• Proficiency with development tools including Eclipse, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Experience implementing SSO and web service integrations using SAML and SOAP.
• Understanding of API security and experience with an API Gateway (e.g., Tyk).
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
