Description

You will support the modernization of legacy tax systems by developing automated applications and providing lead programming duties.

Responsibilities

• Obtain business requirements to develop applications that meet organizational priorities.
• Lead the design, programming, testing, and implementation of software across the full development lifecycle.
• Develop and mentor staff in J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC.
• Create and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and coordinate code migrations from development to user test environments.
• Facilitate technical meetings and communicate requirements to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in all facets of the software development process.
• 60 months of experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
• 60 months of experience building and testing Java EE applications using IDEs like Eclipse, Netbeans, or IntelliJ.
• 60 months of experience with J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts.
• 60 months of experience with Application Servers including Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, or Weblogic.
• 60 months of experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
• 60 months of experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 36 months of experience in messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, or Kafka.
• Proficiency with Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the project management life cycle.
