Description

Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Scala while owning the full software lifecycle from design to deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature design and implement technology across the stack.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code for backend services.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical teammates.

Required Skills

• High proficiency in Java 8+ or Scala with functional programming.
• Experience with Micro-services and service-oriented architecture.
• Working knowledge of Kafka and Confluent.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Working experience with React.
• Proficiency with Git and command line navigation.
• Expertise in site performance profiling and tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GraphQL and TypeScript.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS.

BS in Computer Science or 5-7 years of comparable experience.
