Description

You will be responsible for modernizing legacy Java EE systems into contemporary architectures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy Java EE components (EJB, JPA, SOAP) to inform modernization decisions.
• Participate in application rationalization and transformation planning.
• Map system behaviors, dependencies, and integration points through technical walkthroughs.
• Assist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Identify technical debt, design patterns, and architectural characteristics in legacy systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Java EE.
• Proficiency in Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8 deployment on enterprise application servers.
• Experience with EJB, JPA, and SOAP Services integration.
• Ability to analyze complex legacy codebases and recommend modernization strategies.
• Familiarity with AI code analysis tools, static analysis, and pattern recognition.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud-native transformation, containerization, and API-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation.
