Description

You will design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, focusing on strong object-oriented principles and distributed systems. This role requires building and consuming RESTful services while optimizing application performance through profiling and tuning. You will ensure systems meet security and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS, PII, and SOX, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on CI/CD and deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java backend applications with strong object-oriented principles.
• Build and consume RESTful services within distributed systems and messaging platforms.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning techniques.
• Ensure development of secure, compliant systems aligned with PCI-DSS, PII, and SOX standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD processes, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in Java-based backend development in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and messaging platforms (Kafka, SQS, SNS).
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and managing databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, or Oracle).
• Experience with cloud practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data management using Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, or Oracle.
• Proven ability to work on large-scale projects with complex distributed architectures.
