Design, develop, test, and operate backend services and platform components using Java and Python.
Build cloud-connected features that allow on-prem collaboration customers to consume cloud services securely.
Implement integrations for AI-enabled experiences, including orchestration, data flow, API contracts, and device/service compatibility layers.
Work with product management, architecture, SRE, security, and device teams to translate customer needs into scalable engineering solutions.
Improve service reliability through instrumentation, logging, monitoring, automated validation, and operational readiness practices.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, production triage, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
Strong programming experience in Java and Python, with the ability to design clean APIs, services, and reusable platform components.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Solid understanding of backend engineering fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, networking concepts, REST/gRPC-style APIs, and distributed systems basics.
Experience building or integrating cloud services, SaaS platforms, or hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions.
Ability to debug complex issues across services, logs, APIs, customer environments, and device-facing integrations.
Good understanding of software quality practices, including unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD workflows, and code review discipline.
Technical ownership, mentoring, design leadership, production accountability, and cross-team influence. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise collaboration, voice/video, meeting, messaging, contact center, or device management platforms.
Familiarity with AI/ML service integration, model-backed features, prompt/service orchestration, or AI-assisted customer workflows.
Exposure to Kubernetes, containers, public cloud platforms, observability stacks, and secure service-to-service communication.
Experience maintaining compatibility across multiple device generations, firmware levels, or customer deployment models.
