You will build backend systems and microservices using Java.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems and microservices using Java.
• Design and document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Manage build processes using Maven and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug and operate services running within Kubernetes environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems or microservices in Java.
• Strong Java background (JDK 8 or newer), including streams, lambda expressions, and functional programming.
• Expertise in concurrency, reactive patterns, and JVM performance tuning.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes APIs, specifically using the Fabric8 client.
• Proficiency with MySQL/Galera or similar relational databases and Java DB APIs (JDBC, JPA, ORM).
• Hands-on experience using Kubernetes CLI (kubectl) and writing YAML manifests.
• Proficiency with Docker and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Good knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (amd64 platform).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vert.x or other reactive frameworks (RxJava, Reactor).
• Familiarity with data/stream processing frameworks such as Kafka or Apache Flink.
