Description

You will design, develop, and operate backend services and platform components using Java and Python, building cloud-connected features for secure on-prem collaboration.

You will implement integrations for AI-enabled experiences, including orchestration, data flow, API contracts, and device compatibility layers.

Responsibilities

• Design clean APIs, services, and reusable platform components using Java and Python.
• Build cloud-connected features allowing on-prem customers to consume cloud services securely.
• Implement AI-enabled experience integrations, covering orchestration, data flow, and API contracts.
• Improve service reliability through instrumentation, logging, monitoring, and automated validation.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and production triage.

Required Skills

• Strong programming experience in Java and Python (5+ years).
• Deep understanding of backend engineering fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, networking, REST/gRPC, and distributed systems.
• Experience building or integrating cloud services, SaaS platforms, or hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions.
• Ability to debug complex issues across services, logs, APIs, and customer environments.
• Solid grasp of software quality practices: unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD workflows, and code review discipline.
• Experience with Microservices, REST, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with technical ownership and mentoring capability.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise collaboration, voice/video, meeting, messaging, or contact center platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML service integration, model-backed features, or prompt orchestration.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, containers, public cloud platforms, and observability stacks.
