Description

You will build and maintain distributed systems powering large-scale retail operations.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize highly scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot into daily workflow to accelerate development and testing.
• Drive technical decisions regarding performance tuning, memory management, and system scalability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure high system availability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Cloud Engineers to deliver features using clean, maintainable code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience focused on Java (8/11/17+).
• Expert proficiency with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume messaging platforms like Kafka.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or CosmosDB.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong grasp of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Hibernate, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Azure or GCP environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python or Go for auxiliary tooling or services.
