Description

You will build and maintain backend microservices using Spring Boot, owning the full lifecycle from design to deployment in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy scalable microservices following Spring Boot best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Design backend solutions adhering to TDD, clean code principles, and established design patterns.
• Write unit and integration tests to identify bugs and verify design criteria.
• Produce technical documentation for each microservice to ensure team clarity.
• Integrate services with databases and streaming systems like Kafka.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries for database interaction.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or Power Mock.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns including Singleton, Factory, Strategy, and Observer.
• Practical knowledge of GIT for version control.
• Familiarity with Kafka MQ for streaming systems.
• Experience using Swagger for API documentation and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) for deployment.
• Proficiency in JSON and YML markup languages.
• Working knowledge of security and quality tools like Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect.
• Experience deploying applications to WebSphere and Open Liberty servers.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
