Description

You will refactor a critical legacy platform and build components for a merchant engagement system.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Refactor and modernize existing legacy systems to improve platform stability.
• Design and implement microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure scalability.
• Manage data flow and integrations using MongoDB, SQL databases, Apache Kafka, and Apigee.
• Build and execute automated API tests using JUnit, TestNG, or REST-assured.
• Drive technical solutions and process improvements independently.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with MongoDB and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with API management platforms like Apigee.
• Ability to write and execute automated API tests.
• Background in merchant services or financial technology domains.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms including PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) or Red Hat OpenShift.
