Description

Design, develop, and test backend services and APIs within a secure development environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure backend services, REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure solutions.
• Prototype new technologies and coordinate directly with vendors.
• Provide subject matter expertise on IAM and secure development practices.
• Manage own deliverables and work independently.

Required Skills

• 7+ years IT experience with 5+ years focused on Java/J2EE.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and SpringMVC.
• Experience building REST and SOAP APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of IAM protocols: OAuth2, OIDC, MFA, SSO, and LDAP.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Git, and JIRA.
• Competency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for frontend tasks.
• Experience with Unix/Linux development environments.
• Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and HSM.
• Familiarity with NodeJS, React, Angular, and ADA compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IAM platforms such as Ping or Okta.
• Proven application of secure coding practices.
