Description

You will modernize and enhance a capital markets risk application by upgrading legacy frontend code and building robust backend services.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of legacy Angular codebases using standalone components and signals.
• Design and implement backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Refactor and optimize Oracle PL/SQL queries and stored procedures for evolving business logic.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and responsiveness across the full stack.
• Maintain code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong Angular expertise, specifically in upgrading and refactoring legacy applications.
• Proficiency with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including performance tuning and schema design.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, RxJS, Angular CLI, and SCSS/CSS.
• Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks including JUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
