Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/JEE applications for the DMAS Information Management Division.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and document Java/JEE applications.
• Provide production support for agency-critical applications, including evening or weekend work.
• Interpret customer requirements to design and implement technical solutions.
• Maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, and program logic.
• Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and provide accurate effort estimates.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of expertise in Core Java, including OOP design, multi-threading, generics, exception handling, collections, reflection, and annotations.
• 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications using Java EE technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with ORM frameworks, configuration management, and build/testing tools.
• 5+ years of experience with relational database concepts, specifically Oracle, and the SDLC.
• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git workflows.
• 5+ years of experience in production support for mission-critical applications.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM SOA products (IIB, ODM, WAS, WTX, MQ).
• 2+ years of experience with application servers.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• 2+ years of experience with Healthcare EDI HIPAA X12 transactions.
• 1+ years of experience in Healthcare (Medicaid) environments.
• 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps.
• 1+ years of experience in frontend development using Node.js and Express.
