Description

You will develop and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on UI and low-level protocol implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage desktop user interfaces using JavaFX, Swing, or AWT.
• Implement low-level networking logic using raw sockets over TCP/IP for binary data exchange.
• Develop and maintain communication protocols including HTTP and FTP.
• Handle data serialization and deserialization using JSON and XML/SOAP.
• Design and optimize complex database queries and manage data persistence via ORM.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• 2+ years of experience with Java UI frameworks including JavaFX, Swing, or AWT.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, raw sockets, and binary data exchange.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP and FTP.
• Proficiency in JSON parsing and generating JSON from domain objects.
• Very strong SQL knowledge and experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORM).
• Experience with Java Message Service (JMS).
• Experience using XML for SOAP-based information exchange.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the retail domain.
