Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and RESTful APIs using the Spring Boot framework.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build reactive applications using Spring WebFlux and Java 8+.
• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs with Swagger/OAS standards.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from requirement analysis to production support.
• Conduct code and test case reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Debug complex issues including socket timeouts and connection problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8 and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and API design principles.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven).
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Knowledge of API security elements (JWT, Authentication, Authorization, Rate Limiting).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Java 17, Mule, or RAML.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) or Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Working knowledge of JMS/MQ and Agile methodologies (JIRA/Confluence).
