Description

You will design and develop the BFF layer using Java Spring and GraphQL technology.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate data retrieval from multiple microservices into client-specific payloads.
• Implement resolvers and data fetchers to map data from various back-end services.
• Optimize data access and response times using caching or persisted queries.
• Build common libraries for logging, error handling, configuration, and data mapping.
• Ensure BFF resilience and scalability through parallel calls and fallback strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java development for enterprise-grade applications.
• 5+ years of experience with microservices and Spring-related technologies.
• 3+ years of experience deploying services on AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Expertise in building RESTful or GraphQL services with the Spring Framework.
• Proven experience implementing GraphQL solutions in production environments.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and inter-service communication.
• Experience building or contributing to shared libraries for cross-cutting concerns.
• Proficiency in calling downstream services from Java-based services.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Familiarity with Git (Gitlab).
• Experience with retail or e-commerce applications.
