Description

You will develop and maintain Java-based applications for the Agency MBS trading desk, owning projects from requirement gathering through rollout.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications for the Agency MBS trading desk.
• Engage in new development and enhancements of existing systems.
• Collaborate with traders to define requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to internal tools and infrastructure improvements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, and multi-threaded/concurrent programming.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and building Restful APIs.
• Proficiency in Microservices architecture.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments from a developer's perspective.
• Ability to handle legacy systems and work independently or in a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of Angular or Python.
• Ability to read and understand C++, C#, and Perl for migration assistance.
