Description

You will design, develop, and support software systems, leading technical reviews and guiding junior team members.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and install systems while analyzing input/output requirements and information flow.
• Lead design review meetings and provide technical guidance to customers and junior engineers.
• Prepare systems documentation, operating procedures, and project proposals including cost/benefit justifications.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and make decisions on alternative problem management proposals.
• Meet with customers to gather requirements and recommend best practice system solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, file systems, and network protocols.
• Working knowledge of Git source code management and Bitbucket.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of Agile workflows and Jira.
• Experience with ElasticSearch.
• Ability to use Confluence for documentation.
• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with API development.
