Description

Design and develop Java-based systems for Point of Sale and Back Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems using Java technologies focused on performance and business requirements.
• Implement solutions including SOAP and RESTful web services, stored procedures, and scripting.
• Perform database analysis and design on MySQL, including writing complex SQL queries, views, and triggers.
• Analyze requirements to provide design, development, and test effort estimates.
• Document software design and contribute to design reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java programming and web development.
• Proficiency with MySQL and SQL/Database design, including stored procedures and triggers.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP and RESTful Web Services.
• Experience customizing Maven build scripts.
• Experience using source control systems, preferably Subversion (SVN).
• Significant experience in UI design and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
