Description

Design and build Java-based Point of Sale and Back Office systems with a focus on performance and business requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications, implementing SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Design and optimize MySQL databases, including complex SQL queries, views, and triggers.
• Analyze requirements and provide accurate estimates for design, development, and testing efforts.
• Document software designs and actively participate in design reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java programming and web development.
• Proficiency in MySQL, SQL/Database design, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Experience creating and consuming SOAP and RESTful Web Services.
• Ability to customize Maven build scripts.
• Experience with source control systems, preferably Subversion (SVN).
• Significant experience in UI design and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
