Description

Design, develop, and implement Java-based software systems to support the Spectrum Mobile ecosystem. You will own the full development lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment and on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and design Java solutions to meet business needs.
• Code, test, and debug new software features or implement enhancements to existing systems.
• Develop technical documentation, including detailed design documents and architecture specifications.
• Design and implement telemetry to monitor application health and support the Spectrum Mobile ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve application performance and functionality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of development experience in Java / J2EE.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, including ES6, Babel.js, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with one or more SPA frameworks such as React, Angular, Ember, or Backbone.
• Familiarity with REST API design and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript scoping, inheritance, closures, and objects/classes.
• Experience with JavaScript dependency management solutions like AMD/require.js or Common.js.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using Web UI Debugging tools like Chrome DevTools.
• Understanding of web security concepts including cookies, XSS, and CSRF.
• Experience with version control, preferably Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js, Oracle, and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of JavaScript build tools like Webpack, r.js, Grunt, or Bower.
• Experience using Splunk and AppDynamics for monitoring and troubleshooting.
