Description

Develop efficient, scalable Java applications for low latency, high throughput, and multi-threading requirements. You will own the design and implementation of critical services, support existing systems, and participate in 7x24 on-call production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex Java applications adhering to strict performance and concurrency standards.
• Consult with project teams on the design of critical services and applications.
• Build and maintain Java batch applications connecting to relational databases via JDBC.
• Support existing business systems and participate in 7x24 on-call production support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Hibernate.
• Proficiency with J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, servlets, Struts, and JSR-353.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using JAX-RS and SOAP.
• Strong knowledge of Java application containers including AKS, Kubernetes, OCP (OpenShift), Docker, and Podman.
• Experience with middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQ Series, WLP, or WebSphere.
• Competency with relational databases including DB2, SQL Server, MS Access, or Yugabyte.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or UNIX scripting.
• Experience with build and deployment tools including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, RunDeck, and HELM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience running Java on IBM mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies including CICS, MVS, ISPF, VSAM, and MQ.
