Description

You will design, develop, and support J2EE-based systems, owning the lifecycle from technical specifications through production support.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and prepare detailed technical specifications for program development.
• Code, test, debug, and document moderately to complex programs.
• Develop test plans to verify logic for new or modified programs and conduct peer reviews.
• Analyze existing systems to determine program and time requirements.
• Provide on-call production support and assist in resolving complex program problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in J2EE-based web technologies.
• Strong experience with Portal development using Websphere Portal.
• Hands-on exposure to JSF, Hibernate, and integration with external applications.
• Experience with JSR 168 Portlets and JSF Portlets.
• Proficiency with development tools such as WDS, RAD, or Eclipse.
• Hands-on design experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Database experience with DB2 or Oracle.
• Strong object-oriented development and heavy transaction processing/management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Server maintenance experience.
