Description

You will own the migration of legacy mainframe systems to a modern microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend-focused microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Migrate business logic from mainframe environments to cloud-native services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
• Write and implement automated tests using Cucumber.
• Integrate event-driven messaging using Kafka.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically Lambda.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Kafka for messaging.
• Experience with application or automation testing using Cucumber.
• Ability to work on backend-heavy tasks (90% backend, 10% frontend).

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience at Capital One.
