Description

Key Responsibilities:
*) Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Java, Python, and Perl.
*) Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration points with internal and external systems.
*) Modernize and refactor existing Perl-based or legacy applications into modern architectures.
*) Create automation scripts, system tools, and scheduled jobs to support IT operations.
*) Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
*) Design and implement SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-processing workflows.
*) Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and sprint planning.
*) Debug and resolve complex issues across multiple languages and platforms.
*) Deploy applications to cloud or on premise environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, Linux/Unix).
*) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
*) Maintain documentation for systems, integrations, and processes.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
*) Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Maven).
*) Proficiency in Python.
*) Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and microservices.
*) Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Ingres).
*) Experience with Git/Subversion, Linux/Unix environments, and version-controlled development.
*) Strong problem solving and debugging skills across languages and environments.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
*) Hands-on experience with Perl for scripting, system utilities, or legacy app maintenance.
*) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
*) Experience with ETL, data pipelines, or batch processing.
*) Experience with version control (Git/Subversion) and CI/CD pipelines.
*) Familiarity with legacy system migration projects- Preferred - 5 years.
