Description

Support mission-critical IT systems by developing, deploying, and troubleshooting Java-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications using Java 1.5 through 1.8.
• Deploy and debug applications on Orion, JBoss, and Tomcat servers.
• Perform DevOps tasks including configuration changes and application deployment across production and lower environments.
• Provide production support, including troubleshooting Windows/Linux batch jobs and shell scripts.
• Integrate SOAP-based web services into existing codebases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Java/J2EE applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java 1.5 to 1.8 and custom-built JARs.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, Bootstrap, JSP, and HTML.
• Strong experience with Oracle DB, specifically Oracle DBMS 11g R2 and above.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting Oracle client connectivity, including tnsnames files.
• Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL 5+) and Windows environments.
• Ability to manage SSL certificate installations and Apache web servers on Linux.
• Experience with ANT-based applications and Struts 1 code flow troubleshooting.
• Competency with ORM tools, specifically Hibernate.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with migration projects to different Java versions.
• Knowledge of Power Builder.
• Experience with Tortoise SVN.
