Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/JEE applications for the DMAS Information Management Division in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain enterprise Java/JEE applications.
• Interpret customer requirements to build technical solutions and provide accurate effort estimates.
• Manage multiple projects with dynamic priorities while creating technical specifications and system documentation.
• Provide production support for mission-critical applications, including occasional evening and weekend work.

Required Skills

• 5+ years building enterprise applications using Java EE technologies.
• 5+ years with Core Java: OOP, Multi-Threading, Generics, Exception Handling, Collections, Reflection, and Annotations.
• 5+ years with ORM frameworks, configuration management, and build/testing tools.
• 5+ years with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git workflows.
• 5+ years with relational database concepts, specifically Oracle.
• 5+ years providing production support for critical systems.
• 3+ years with IBM SOA products (IIB, ODM, WAS, WTX, or MQ).
• 2+ years with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• 2+ years with Healthcare EDI HIPAA X12 transactions.
• 1+ year with application servers and Azure DevOps.
• 1+ year in frontend development using Node.js and Express.
• 1+ year of experience in Healthcare (Medicaid).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java, Node.js, Kotlin, Angular, or Typescript.
