Description

You will design, develop, and maintain responsive web UI applications and backend systems on AWS. You will build tools that assist in biology research by collaborating with scientists.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain asynchronous and synchronous integrations between systems.
• Optimize SQL and NoSQL database schemas and queries for efficient data retrieval.
• Contribute code to cloud-based services using Java, Python, and other languages.
• Write and maintain a suite of tests to ensure application functionality and integrity.
• Develop and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and Groovy.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud computing platforms.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms (DSA).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Practical application of test-driven development and clean code patterns.
• Experience using Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches.

Preferred Skills

• Full-stack development experience including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with biological data or in a research environment.
