Description

You will build and maintain distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on high-quality code through TDD and BDD practices. You own the full development lifecycle, from designing REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints to deploying services via Docker and Kubernetes on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable microservices and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Cucumber-JVM.
• Design and implement REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Document system designs and database schemas for Document DBs like MongoDB or DynamoDB.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience building distributed systems in Java.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience with TDD and BDD frameworks, specifically JUnit and Cucumber-JVM.
• Hands-on experience with message streaming using Kafka.
• Familiarity with Document DBs such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Knowledge of security standards including JWT and OAuth.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing on Mac OS.
