Description

You will develop, integrate, and maintain secure Java-based software solutions for state government health insurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Transform software designs and functional requirements into secure, high-functioning Java code.
• Create technical design documents and integrate individual software solutions with applicable systems.
• Test code periodically, perform debugging, and execute upgrades to improve system security and efficiency.
• Provide operations, maintenance, and production support, including the resolution of escalated customer issues.
• Communicate technical updates to leadership and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

Required Skills

• 7 years of Java programming and development experience (or a Bachelor's degree in lieu of 7 years, or an Associate's degree in lieu of 2 years).
• 5 years of experience developing in Java using Spring MVC.
• 4 years of experience working with state government health insurance systems regarding insurance benefit enrollments.
• 4 years of experience in full-stack Java development and transactional systems.
• 4 years of experience providing operations work and production support.
• 5 years of proficiency with WebSphere, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, XML, JUnit, jQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Oracle database (including SQL), and SOAP/REST web services.
• 2 years of IBM Integration Bus (IIB) experience.
• 1 year of IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) experience.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of StreamEDS experience.
• 1 year of Drools experience.
• Experience with ACA health care systems, including tax information transmission to the IRS.
