Description

•     Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of applications used by DTCC.

•     Work with Business System Analysts and senior engineers to understand functional and non functional requirements.

•     Assist with implementing application designs that align with DTCC technology standards and best practices.

•     Participate in performance analysis and tuning activities to help identify and resolve application issues.

•     Support deployment and runtime activities by collaborating with Infrastructure and Platform teams.

•     Follow established risk management and control practices; identify and escalate issues as appropriate.

•     Apply Agile and iterative development practices to deliver features and enhancements.

•     Develop application components and services under guidance from senior engineers and technical leads.

•     Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and compliance with functional requirements.

•     Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

•     Collaborate with peers to improve development practices, automation, and continuous integration processes.

Qualifications:

•     3–5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.

•     Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Skills Required:

Core Development

•     Experience designing and developing applications using Enterprise Java.

•     Working knowledge of application security, transactional processing, and resilient system design.

•     Hands on experience with the Spring framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA.

•     Familiarity with build and dependency management tools such as Maven.

Messaging, Streaming & Caching

•     Exposure to event driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.

•     Experience or familiarity with Redis for caching or data access.

•     Understanding of basic caching strategies using Redis or Spring Cache.

Data & Persistence

•     Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL.

•     Familiarity with database migration tools such as Liquibase.

•     Understanding of SQL performance and basic data modeling concepts.

Cloud, Containers & DevOps

•     Basic understanding of cloud platforms and deployment models (IaaS, PaaS).

•     Exposure to containerized applications using Docker.

•     Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift concepts.

•     Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test processes
