Description

You will refactor a large Clojure application into a modern Java and Spring Boot architecture, owning the transition from legacy systems to scalable microservices.

Responsibilities

• Translate existing Clojure logic and data models into robust Java-based services and components.
• Design, implement, and document APIs for consumption by internal development teams.
• Build reproducible deployment pipelines using Docker, AWS, and Terraform.
• Develop infrastructure services, libraries, and comprehensive unit tests for a scalable platform.
• Apply both functional and object-oriented programming paradigms to solve complex architectural problems.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Practical knowledge of Docker for containerization.
• Experience using Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
