Description

You will build and optimize backend services for search applications, owning the full lifecycle from API design to deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement and optimize search functionality using SOLR, Elastic, or Fusion.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate with Kafka or similar queueing technologies.
• Manage deployments using Kubernetes, Ansible, and AWS container services.
• Write shell scripts to automate routine tasks and workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with search technologies such as SOLR, Elastic, or Fusion.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
• Proficiency with build and version control tools including Maven, Gradle, and Git.
• Experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Competency in Shell scripting.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Familiarity with Tomcat application servers.
