Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable Java backend systems and services in an agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define software requirements, decompose stories, and prioritize tasks with product owners.
• Design highly fault-tolerant and scalable systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior team members while ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Implement automated testing using BDD/TDD frameworks and troubleshoot environmental issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide development sizing and cost analysis estimates.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional Java web and service development experience.
• Strong backend skills with Java Core, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Bamboo, Bit Bucket, and Shell Scripting/Powershell.
• Proficiency in test automation tools: Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
• Ability to leverage GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted developer tasks.
• Experience with enterprise messaging platforms (WMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Kafka Streams for building messaging services.
• Experience with cloud technologies like Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Oracle/SQL).
