Description

You will build and maintain server-side web service applications using Java, Spring, and Backbone.js. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side web service applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Implement solutions utilizing REST/SOAP web services architecture.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing web service applications deployed on servers.
• Work within an Agile development framework to deliver features.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Java.
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and Backbone.js.
• Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and REST/SOAP Web Services.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting issues within Java applications running on Apache Tomcat.
• Familiarity with tools including Maven, Jenkins, and SVN.
• Experience with XML and JSON data formats.
