Description

Design, develop, test, and support applications for the financial modeling and research division. Own the release pipeline, fix defects, and reduce technical debt. Coordinate across infrastructure layers and drive adoption of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop clean, high-quality code with full automated unit and integration test coverage.
• Fix defects and address technical debt to maintain software development best practices.
• Coordinate with teams working across different layers of the infrastructure.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades and the adoption of new technologies.
• Translate financial business requirements into feature delivery.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development and programming experience.
• Strong background in building scalable applications using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Kafka, and the Netflix stack.
• Deep understanding of application, data, and architecture design patterns and principles.
• Experience with REST API design, development, documentation, and testing.
• Proficiency with build and integration tools including Gradle, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Financial acumen to understand business requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with web front-end languages and frameworks.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server, Sybase, Redis, and MongoDB.
