Description

You will own the high-level and detailed design of complex, high-availability, and low-latency subsystems. You define architectural guiding principles and conduct proof of concepts to validate solution feasibility and performance. You collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align technical strategy with business goals and stay current with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex subsystems with a focus on high availability and low latency.
• Define and revise architectural guiding principles for platform development.
• Conduct proof of concepts to validate performance and feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Establish effective software engineering practices including PR reviews, code reviews, and test automation.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and define code contribution metrics.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience across design, testing, and implementation.
• 8+ years of development experience with Java (minimum Java 8), Python, or Go.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.
• 3+ years of experience with Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience deploying applications on OpenShift and Docker containers.
• Proficiency with performance and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or ELK.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile development, object-oriented design, and complex data structures.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Function As a Service (FaaS) and Lambda.
• Experience with Event Driven and Reactive Programming.
